Journal Prompt: What Disrupts Your Ease?
Recently I attended a yoga training with Judith Lasater. It is her belief that we cannot fully be at ease until we recognize what disrupts our ease and causes us stress in the first place. We identify our stressors so we can learn how to control our reaction to them and develop tools to help us return to a place of equilibrium.
Prompts:
- List 5-10 situations or circumstances that disrupt your ease.
- List 5-10 tools you use to reestablish your ease and your connection to yourself.
Hint! There are no wrong answers, but be specific.
Example: Being rushed in the morning disrupts my ease. Uncontrollable dog hair disrupts my ease, (though we have two dogs).
Example: Reading reestablishes my connection to myself. Being in nature reestablishes my connection to myself. Becoming aware of my breath reestablishes my connection to myself.
