Moments of pause in between all that you do
Yin Yoga + Traditional Chinese Medicine
A SEASONAL WORKSHOP DEDICATED TO YIN YOGA AND ITS ROOTS IN TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE AND MERIDIAN THEORY.
These two-hour workshops will include a lecture and Q + A led by Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, Samantha Romanowski so you may more deeply understand the relationship between Yin yoga and TCM.
Following the lecture will be a Yin yoga practice led by Roe Johnson dedicated to the Meridian pair associated with the season. In this Yin practice, we will draw upon the knowledge gained in the first half of the workshop, and apply it as we move through Yin postures to stimulate the meridians through both stretch and compression.
“SUMMER” 7/17: THE FIRE ELEMENT
Summer is a season of maturation, an expansion of body and mind and living life to the fullest expression. As we watch our gardens grow, we feel the expanding of our own energy and we experience the joy of the world being at its most alive. That sense of aliveness is Yang energy, which is at its peak during the summer solstice. This Yang energy provides the heat that propels our energy and vitality throughout the rest of the year.
In Chinese Medicine, the joy, gratitude and excitement we feel during summer directly relates to the Fire element. The full expansion and expression of nature and of ourselves is the Fire element in all it’s glory. In this workshop, we’ll deepen our understanding of the energetic channels associated with the Fire element so we may embody the power of summer energy to live in the present moment. This nourishing Yin yoga class led by Roe Johnson, and TCM lecture (which will provide lifestyle and nutritional guidance support you this summer) by Samantha of Union Holistic Health will propel you into the season ahead with a sense of enthusiasm and desire to expand into your highest potential.

Summer Savasana Series
Summertime, especially in the PNW is a whirlwind of adventure, events, and chasing the sunshine. This summer may be looking a little different, but this is also why we need to honor our bodies, minds, hearts and their need to rest more than ever.
The world as we knew it has vanished in many ways. A vail has been lifted and we may be feeling overwhelmed, understandably so. We have a lot of work to do, not including all we have to do within our own lives, as they continue to shift before us. What happens in between all that doing is what allows for your growth and learning to be integrated and absorbed.
